Construction of the New Cathedral Arena Underway

The members of the Diocesan Curia, (the highest administrative body of the diocese) led by the bishop, Most Rev Callistus VC Onaga, as they rose from their meeting within the week, stormed the premises of the Holy Ghost Cathedral to inspect the progress of work at site of the new ultra modern Cathedral Arena.

The construction of the edifice, which would take the shape of amphitheater upon its completion, is already underway and would be the first of its kind in the country. It is expected to accommodate about 8 to 10 thousand worshippers at a time.

The pictures below show the bishop and the Curia members being conducted round the site by the engineer in charge of the construction. Photos also show the progress of work as the old structure has been completely pulled down and the site being cleared and prepared to take in the new structure.
