PRAYER FOR PEACE AND CONSECRATION OF RUSSIA AND UKRAINE TO THE THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY

The Holy Father Pope Francis has invited bishops all over the world, along with their priests, religious and laity to pray for peace and consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday March 25, the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.

Therefore, as requested by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) in union with the Holy Father and the Universal Church, our beloved Bishop, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga, directs all parishes, chaplaincies, and institutions in the Diocese to join in the prayer by using the Rite (Prayer for peace and Consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary) at Mass tomorrow, especially saying the Act of Consecration after post communion prayer.

May God, through the merits and powerful intercession of Mary, bless His people with peace everywhere and every time. Amen.
